Founded in 2008 by USC alumni Grant Hooks, Shoeture is a brand of shoe accessories designed to elevate the look of your sneakers. The concept of Shoeture developed during several months Hooks spent working in Japan within the local fashion industry. Wanting to improve upon his favorite pair of sneakers, which were then beaten with age, Hooks found inspiration in the popularity of Japanese teens accessorizing cell phones with charms. The result was a creative blend of jewelry and footwear that would allow people to 'love your sneakers again' by dressing them up and reinventing the look of their shoes into something new and different.

With its official launch in March '09 within the top-tier dance community, Shoeture has enjoyed an exclusive status in its first few months. Since its release, Shoeture has attracted a broad spectrum of celebrity clients such as competitors from MTV's America's Best Dance Crew, music talents Keri Hilson, Fergie, Snoop, Usher, New Kids On The Block, the All American Rejects and more. In order to keep the product within an exclusive availability basis, Shoeture is sold within select sneaker enthusiast boutique locations. The company has developed a strong momentum within the few months of starting and is ramping up for a major release in the fourth quarter of 2009.
